For a concert, Catfish usually brings three or more guitars (one acoustic wood-bodied guitar, one steel-bodied resophonic National guitar, and one 12-string) and his own foot-stomping board. All guitars and the foot board have Highlander pickups with 9v battery-powered preamp, and all of the guitars use both the one external mic and their individual pickups.

The mixing board/desk should have graphic EQ and reverb.

Catfish needs the following items onstage:

– 1 SM58 Shure or Beta 58 Shure vocal mic with boom stand
– 1 SM57 Shure instrument mic (or quality condenser mic) with boom stand
– 4 (or more, if more guitars) D.I. boxes with standard 1/4″ jacks
– 2 monitor (fallback) speakers
